The digital games revolution has allowed indie-developed titles to find massive success over the past decade-plus, as it is much easier to distribute a game without having to package it, ship it to retailers, and so on and so forth. But many gamers still enjoy the idea of having a physical version of their favorites, especially for collecting purposes. A few years ago Super Rare Games made a physical version of Snake Pass for example, and now it is doing the same with five more Nintendo Switch titles.

The full list of newly announced Super Rare Games for the Nintendo Switch includes Abzu, Deponia Collection, Inmost, Super Crush KO, and Vigil: The Longest Night. The games will be available at different points throughout the remainder of the year. First up, however, is Abzu, which will be available on Super Rare Games’ official website on April 29 at 2 pm ET.
Abzu is a deep-sea-diving tranquil adventure game that often draws comparisons to Journey. Its developer recently released the adequately-received The Pathless for PlayStation. Deponia Collection, meanwhile, is like having four puzzle-adventure games in one, as it has Deponia, Chaos on Deponia, Goodbye Deponia, and Deponia Doomsday all in one package and combining to give the player about 50 hours of gameplay.
Inmost is a gorgeous and challenging but very short puzzle game, timing it at around 4 hours. Meanwhile, Super Crush KO may remind players of old-school brawlers, but with a very unique art style. Lastly, Vigil: The Longest Night is an RPG that flew under the radar in 2020. Currently, Super Rare Games has published and distributed 49 Nintendo Switch titles, so these games will add to that growing list.
