RELATED: Genshin Impact: The Best Team Compositions To Pair With Sucrose
Anyone looking to build up Sucrose will likely want to level her up and upgrade her talents. To do so, they’ll need quite a few items and quite a bit of Mora. Here’s everything needed for Sucrose’s ascension and talent improvements.
Leveling Materials
It takes quite a bit of EXP and Mora to bring a character from one ascension level to the next, as shown here:
Any combination of EXP materials will work, but this one has little waste:
Sucrose Ascension Items
Sucrose is one of only a few characters who have an Anemo Vision, meaning she’s also one of the few that uses Vayuda Turquoise. She’ll also need some Whopperflower drops and more, as seen here:
Gemstones - Where to Find Vayuda Turquoise
This Anemo gem is not the easiest of the elemental gems to find, but luckily, there aren’t many Anemo characters. This means that players don’t need to spread their Turquoise collection as thin as some other elemental gems.
As with any of the other elemental gems, Vayuda Turquoise can be obtained by finishing daily commissions for the Adventurers’ Guild or purchased from the souvenir shops in Liyue and Mondstadt. It’ll also drop from a few bosses:
Stormterror/Dvalin Anemo Hypostasis Maguu Kenki
Enemy Drop - Where to Find Whopperflower Nectar
Whopperflowers are found all over Teyvat, meaning it shouldn’t be too hard to track them down and farm Whopperflower Nectar. However, anyone having trouble finding them should track them from their Adventurers’ Handbook by scrolling to the “Enemies” section and selecting Whopperflowers.
The higher the level of the Whopperflower, the higher level its drops can be:
Any level: Whopperflower Nectar Level 40+: Shimmering Nectar Level 60+: Energy Nectar
Boss Drop - How to Get Hurricane Seeds
The Anemo Hypostasis is a great boss to farm Vayuda Turquoise from if the player plans to ascend Sucrose, because she’ll also need its unique drop, the Hurricane Seed. These boss drops only drop from the Anemo Hypostasis, and Sucrose will need quite a few of them in total.
This particular Hypostasis can be found in Mondstadt, up on the Stormbearer Mountains. It’s immune to Anemo damage, so it might be wise to leave Sucrose benched for this fight.
Local Specialty - Where to Find Windwheel Asters
These cool pinwheel flowers are a specialty of the Mondstadt region, meaning they won’t be found anywhere else. To ascend Sucrose, look for these orange-red flowers around Statues of the Seven near the Dawn Winery and Windrise, as well as dotted around Stormterror’s Lair.
These flowers can also be purchased from Flora, who sells five of them every three days for 1,000 Mora each. Lastly, with the help of the right seeds, they can be grown in the Serenitea Pot.
Sucrose Talent Materials
As the only Anemo catalyst user, Sucrose can hit enemies with Anemo damage with her normal attack. However, her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst are very, very good. Anyone leveling up all three of these talents will need each of these sets of materials and Mora, with the totals and tripled totals at the bottom:
Talent Books - Freedom
The Freedom series, one of Mondstadt’s talent book series, is what Sucrose uses for her talents. They can be farmed by clearing the Forsaken Rift domain on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Trounce Materials and Crowns of Insight
Crowns of Insight are used by every character in the game to bring a talent from level 9 to 10. They are obtained through special events or by making offerings to the Frostbearing Tree and Sacred Sakura.
The trounce materials Sucrose’s talents require are Spirit Locks of Boreas. These can be obtained by defeating Andrius at the weekly Wolf of the North challenge in Wolvendom.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices, with a Nintendo Switch version in development.
